Job description

As a software tester, you are in charge of controlling the quality of the new releases of the software developed in the IT & Innovation department.

Thanks to your in-depth understanding of the concerns and behaviour of the end-users of the Monizze applications, you are able to define, organize and execute test campaigns. You report the issues that you detect to the product owners, and you interact with the developers to validate the solutions that are being provided. Your action raises the level of quality perceived by our users, and as a consequence their user experience.

You act in a very close relation with the development teams (called Centuries at Monizze) in order to shorten the delay between the detection of a defect and its resolution. You also coach the developers in improving the tests they execute themselves during the development phase.


Responsibilities

  • Fully understand the features and the products of Monizze
  • Build a library of test cases and test scenarios (both manual as automated cases/scenarios) to enable to define test campaigns
  • Continuously enrich this library to cover new features that are developed during each sprint
  • Define the test strategy and the test campaigns to control the quality of each release, both for new features and for regression testing
  • Participate to / lead the execution of some test campaigns
  • Reporting defects to the developers
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Follow-up and controlling their resolution
  • Be a key actor of the decision to enable the “go live” of a new release
  • Follow-up the support requests post-go live to continuously improve the tests library

Job requirements

Your profile

  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and software testing methodologies.
  • Ideally ISTQB-certified
  • At least a first proven experience as software tester.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA or some similar issue-tracking software.
  • Working knowledge of some test management software.
  • Knowledge of SQL and of scripting technologies
  • Good understanding of a typical software development lifecycle
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot defects.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
  • High autonomy
  • You speak Dutch or French, with a good understanding of the other language and are fluent (both speaking and writing) in English
  • Authentically curious, loving learning and improving yourself
  • Eager to help others and share knowledge
  • Result oriented.


Nice to have

  • Some programming knowledge
  • Experience with a test automation tool (e.g. Selenium, Katalon, …)
  • Experience with Postman
  • Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodologies
