Job description

Monizze is a leading provider of electronic meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, gift cards, and innovative platforms within HR services. With a focus on delivering comprehensive solutions to businesses, we are looking for a Payment Solution Architect.

You will be the pivotal link between our business stakeholders and technology partners, driving our payment solutions' strategic vision and implementation. You will define and maintain our payment architecture, lead transformation projects, and manage key relationships with payment schemes, PSPs, and other strategic partners.


Furthermore, you are expected to bring deep expertise in the payments' industry, particularly in working with schemes like Visa and Mastercard, understanding of various payment protocols, wallets (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay), and experience with large-scale payment system integrations.

Responsibilities

Define payment architecture vision

  • Develop and maintain the strategic vision and roadmap for Monizze's payment solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of payment strategies with business objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.

Manage payment transformation projects

  • Architect and deliver payment transformation projects from inception to successful implementation.
  • Conduct workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize payment flows and user experiences.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and issues, escalating where necessary and ensuring timely delivery.

Relationship management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, including Visa, Mastercard, PSPs, and wallet providers.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships, negotiate agreements, and stay updated on industry trends.

Technical and functional oversight

  • Provide expertise in payment schemes, protocols, and system design.
  • Collaborate with IT architects and development teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Drive the integration of payment solutions into Monizze's ecosystem, focusing on quality and reliability.

Market analysis & innovation

  • Keep abreast of emerging payment technologies and trends.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and provide recommendations for new or enhanced payment solutions.

Job requirements

Experience & knowledge 

  • Extensive experience in payment solutions, with a strong understanding of payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard,…), Payment technologies (EMV, 3DS, Tokenisation, …) PSP integrations, and mobile wallets.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale payment projects from strategy to execution.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and standards related to payments

Skills

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to convert complex requirements into functional solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

Technical proficiency

  • Understanding of payment processing systems, API integrations, and data security principles.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and the Atlassian suite.

Languages skills 

Fluent in English, with a good understanding of either Dutch or French.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data analytics (e.g., SQL querying).
  • Background in innovation thinking and digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of FinTech industry trends, including eCommerce, gift cards, and employee benefits management.
